Department NewsNABP/AACP District IV meeting Wayne State University hosted the 73rd annual meeting of the NABP/AACP District IV meeting on November 8-10, 2006 at the Athenium in downtown Detroit. The program explored a range of topics including the new ACPE accreditation standards, assuring competency of new graduates, continued competency of past graduates and current status of Medicare Part D. Read more Excellence in Research Award Congratulations to Professor Linda Jaber who is the recipient of the 2006 Excellence in Research Award from the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Foundation of Michigan. Dr. Jaber received this award for her work examining the epidemiology of diabetes in Arab-Americans. The award consists of an unrestricted research grant in the amount of $10,000.
